Native Sons of the Golden West
Lincoln, California

Welcome to Silver Star Parlor #63
Native Sons of the Golden West (NSGW)

The Native Sons is the oldest active club in Lincoln. The parlor was formed in 1885 and it's first meeting was held in the IOOF building on 5th street, now Beermans Restaurant. The NSGW is very active in the community. Each July 4th the club hosts a community pancake breakfast. The club has sponsored several all class reunions. The club is also responsible for placing historical markers on points of historic interest.

The Native Sons of the Golden West (NSGW) is dedicated to preserving and promoting California History. The NSGW meet the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M. at the Lincoln Arts building located at 580 6th Street, Lincoln. At meetings we plan club projects, conduct business, have a short historical presentation and then have relaxed conversation and refreshments.
We keep our meetings light and fun. Come visit a meeting. We're looking for new members.

Lincoln Archives Photo Collection
Photograph Archives
We are very excited to share with the public some of the photographs from the Lincoln Native Son's archives. The project is far from complete. We are making available several hundred historic photographs. Eventually the archives will be searchable and have descriptions for each photograph. Wes Freeman and David Lightfoot have been working on this project. We hope you enjoy the photographs.
Photo Archives

Members Gerry Logan, Don Logan and Wes Freeman man the archives on Wednesday mornings. They help answer questions from the community about Lincoln's history and it's pioneer families. The archives is current located in very small space, in the original Lincoln Arts building in Beermans Plaza. The club is hopeful to find a larger space to display our collection of historic materials.

Historic Plaques
The Native Sons have placed historic plaques on several of Lincoln's downtown buildings and the Manzanita and Sheridan Cemetery. The next location to receive a plaque will be Fruitvaile School.
